In these photographs, you can see the brickies (PAID BY ME TO MAKE REPAIRS) trying to repair the damage done by Mr Murone to their earlier excellent work.

 

 

 

 

 

In some places, where they thought they only had to replace a few bricks,

THE WHOLE WALL COLLAPSED.

 

 

 

 

In several places, especially after THE WHOLE WALL COLLAPSED, they discovered that the foundations were cracked.

 

 

They tried to repair this by adding brick ties to the mortar immediately above the cracked foundations.

 

 

 

This is unlikely to hold for long but it was the best the brickies could do.

 

 

 

 

WITH NO REINFORCING BAR IN THE FOUNDATIONS

 

and FOUNDATIONS THAT DON'T  EXTEND UNDER THE WHOLE OF THE WALL

 

WITH CRACKED FOUNDATIONS

 

SOONER OR LATER THESE WALLS WILL COLLAPSE

 

 

 

TO REPAIR AND MAKE SURE THE WORK MEETS THE SPECIFICATIONS IN THE CONTRACT, THE BRICK WALLS AND FOUNDATIONS WILL HAVE TO BE REMOVED AND REBUILT.

 

THIS REMOVAL WILL OBVIOUSLY BE AN EXTRA COST, EVEN BEFORE WE THINK ABOUT REBUILDING.

 

THIS EXTRA COST COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY SIMPLY DOING THE JOB RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING.

But STAY TUNED, IT GETS WORSE:
