When I asked Mr Murone about cleaning these bricks in the retaining walls, with white spirits, he told me, "Don't worry. I'll do it when I clean the concrete."

 

I always thought you should clean bricks as soon as the mortar dried.

 

Mr Murone's plan was to clean the bricks 5-6 weeks after the mortar dried.

 

I have tried cleaning these bricks with white spirits. These photographs show AFTER this cleaning.

 

Because of Mr Murone's delay, they will now have to be power washed.

 

This will obviously cost more. This is another trivial matter, but they're starting to add up.
